Moderators

There should be mods for TWO. And if there are they're not doing much. There should be mods with the function to temporarily and permanently ban people. There are hackers and there's no one to stop them. Even stick arena has mods, hackers run rampant but at least every now and then there's someone to keep them in check. Today I played a hacker by the name of something like Tyler3000. He had a multi shot rifle hack. If there were mods every now and then someone would catch these people in the act. Another reason there should be mods is due to the verbal harassment and spamming in the lobbies. There is freedom of speech but there needs to be a line drawn somewhere.

Re: Moderators

What Walrus King said. Maybe there should be mods in the next Installment of Territory War, but this one is finished.

Re: Moderators

Yes maybe there should. However, what do you think would happen if a mod account gets hacked. Mass bannage of too many people until an Admin (i guess that'd be afro) can rectify the situation. Although a good idea in theory, not so good in practice.

Re: Moderators

Another problem with in-game moderators that a lot of people don't notice is finding people to be mods.  It's a big time commitment to just be on the game enough to moderate, and it's pretty unrewarding when everyone's going to be treating you like a mod and not a human being.  I know I agreed to mod the boards, maybe in a momentary lapse of judgment, but I would never agree to be an in-game mod... that's just crazy.  There are a lot of people who would love to be a mod, as well, and those people are going to be bad mods, plain and simple.  And then there's the whole "mod culture" thing where the mods only really talk to other mods and play the game with other mods.  I mean it's a workable idea, but it's not like a team of great mods is just going to appear out of nowhere once the functionality is implemented.  This analysis based on Stick Arena mods.  Stick Arena mods really annoy me.

Re: Moderators

How about a way where only Afro knows who the mods are. The mods dont know the other mods therefore cannot only play them as you suggested and people cant just wait until a mod leaves to start spamming, flaming etc. because they wont know who is and isnt a mod.

Re: Moderators

That's one idea.  But without the e-penis incentive of the mod badge, I'm not really sure who would agree to do it.  Feel free to draw your own humorous conclusions!

Re: Moderators

There are hackers in TWO, and we know it. Here's what would happen if mods were made:

Hacker: "Hey, look! A mod! I'll just hack his account...BINGO! Time to ban everyone in the lobby"

...

Re: Moderators

Well we're talking about for TWO2.  It IS possible to secure things reasonably well so that that sort of thing doesn't happen if you make it a priority from the start.  It's a lot of work, though... x.x

Re: Moderators

Just make trustworthy and mature people moderators, which includes the mods on here. Also, just make a few.. as in no more than 10? out of millions.. Like in stick arena I dislike because they have about 30 moderators and people suck up to them so much and change who people are. Feels like one of those countries like old-time Russia or (can't think of an example) where you can't oppose you're leaders ideas and whatnot..

Re: Moderators

Well I know Shawn (Afro-Ninja) was extremely hesitant about it in two so it's quite likely not to be implemented in TWO. As Exe.Cute said, if it's anywhere expect it to be in TWO2

Discussion of who can and who can't be a moderator, especially people who are currently or formerly moderators here is highly looked down apon and is improper netiquette.

Re: Moderators

Besides going back to the ol' mds getting hacked to destroy the game topic. It wouldnt make sense to make the board mods as game mods because theyre the obvious choice for hackers so theyll probably targeted on the off chance that they are mod for both. It would have to be people who would create no suspicion so different mods for both game and forum.
